Gatsheni Advisory is an accredited provider that offers this qualification Occupational Certificate:

Compliance Officer, Level 6, 240 credits. It is not offered by the Compliance Institute. It is a full online (e-learning) course, with a blended learning methodology – assistance, guidance and virtual sessions from the Facilitator (whom can be contacted at any time for assistance). All the learning material, training aids (slides and videos) are available on the online portal. All exams are also done online. Competency on this programme will enable learners to write the final exam, the EISA (board exam) with CISA.

This course is not on “beginner/entry level” – the candidate must already be a practising Compliance Officer – refer to entry requirements above.

This qualification is registered at SAQA and we are accredited with the QCTO (Quality Council for Trades and Occupations).

Option 1: Facilitator assisted learning (attend virtual sessions) = R35 771.38 (VAT incl) – Final exam fees with the Compliance Institute SA (CISA) is not included and must be paid directly to CISA (R4 190.00 excl VAT) upon successful completion of the course.

Option 2: Final assessment of the Work Experience component – this must be done internal by a CISA Registered Assessor and that holds the CPRAC Designation.  Please include all additional fees into your own spending budget.

Option 2: Three equal payments of R11 923.79 each, every fourth month for Employers only. First payment due before commencement.

Please check that you meet all the entry requirements.

  • The course has a blended learning approach with six Modules, evenly spread over the first 12 months – learning material, training aids, assessment guides are available online. 
  • Facilitator-lead sessions for Modules 1, 2 and 3 are hosted on Teams, recorded and uploaded onto the online portal.
  • Professional facilitator training videos are used as self-study for the lesser/smaller Modules 4, 5 and 6 on the online portal. These “smaller” Modules does not require facilitator-lead sessions
  • All Occupational Qualifications (courses) consists out of three components, Knowledge, Practical and Workplace Experience – the Knowledge exams are done online and the Practical assignments are also submitted online. 
  • There are Theory assessments (exams) after each Module. And Practical assignments submission for Modules 2 and 3.
  • The Workplace component is done in the workplace while busy with the course and must be finalised during the last six months of the 18 months. You must log a certain amount of work experience hours with related evidence.
  • Refer to the attached Work Experience log sheet that will be used for the Work Experience Component.
  • Each candidate must identify a Mentor in the workplace that will oversee and evaluate this component in the workplace every month. You can also obtain an external Mentor for this purpose (fees for your own account)
  • The final assessment of this component must be done by a CISA Registered Assessor and that holds the CPRAC designation. The Mentor must be a qualified Senior Compliance Manager/Officer
  • If your Mentor is not a CISA Registered Assessor (CPRAC), you can use an external Assessor for this purpose, at a fee of R5 500.00 (excl VAT) – to also be included in your budget.
  • The Employer/Individual also signs a MOA with Gatsheni Advisory confirming that the workplace can assist with obtaining workplace experience and has identified a suitable mentor to the candidate.

The learning content is independently verified and accreditation with QCTO is granted on that basis. The following areas will be covered, bearing in mind that each theme has many sub-components:

  • Enterprise risk management (compliance officer).
  • Designing and implementing a compliance framework.
  • Compliance governance principles.
  • Compliance practice.
  • Change management.
  • Project management.
  • General management principles.

Please Note: It is important to bear in mind that the course is structured to cover three components, Knowledge, Practical and Workplace Experience. All three must be passed.

After the learner has been deemed Competent on all three course components (internal formative assessments), Gatsheni Advisory issues a Statement of Results

The learner is then eligible to register for the final exam, EISA (External Integrated Summative Assessment) with the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa (CISA). 

The EISA is equivalent to the CISA CPRAC Board Exam I. The learner must pass the EISA to receive Certification from the QCTO for this course. The EISA fee is paid directly to CISA and not to Gatsheni Advisory. Refer to above Price.

Note: The Statement of Results is only valid for two years after the date of issue. Learners must write the final exam, the EISA within this two-year validity period.

CPRAC designations are not automatically awarded after successful completion of this course – the Statement of Results of Competency makes the candidate eligible to then apply for designation with CISA
